About

Creator and mama.

I graduated from Plymouth State University in the magical white mountains of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio with a minor in art history and a concentration in art education. Although my degree is in drawing, my love for working with people, especially children has influenced my diverse and wide-ranging work and life experience.

When I moved to the south a few years ago I followed a career path that I had started after college, human services. I started with direct support, continued into case management and thrived within several different programs designed to help people with disabilities, and at risk youth. Working people always came natural to me, especially to those who are challenged verbally, or struggled with expression. This exposed me to many oppurtunities and other people who had big ideas and even bigger hearts. I began to mesh the means of expressin I used in my personal life, with work. Helping children to use art as a means of ventilation from their stress and challenges. As well as body painting as a bridge for those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or a disconnect with their physical body because of medical conditions.

My daughter was born in November of 2014, and I have been riding the crazy roller coaster that is being a mother. Now that she's a bit older, I find myself drawn back to painting, creating and taking pictures.

Dabbling in pretty much all kinds of artistic creation; from drawing to ceramics, sewing to photography. I enjoy the inspiration that comes from everyday life, the beauty and the color that is in every moment.

Just like motherhood changes a person in every way, I find that it influences my painting and photos as well.
